Sónar 2026 (Barcelona): dates, tickets & first-timer guide

Sónar 2026 at a glance
Sónar is Barcelona's landmark festival of advanced music and creativity, and one of the most important dates in the electronic-music calendar. For 2026 it runs 18–20 June at Fira Gran Via. Always confirm the latest details on the official site before you book.
A notable change for 2026: Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night are unified into one venue with continuous programming across six stages — a different layout from previous editions where day and night were separate sites.
Who's playing
Sónar's strength is breadth — house, techno, hip-hop, experimental and live electronics share the bill. The 2026 edition is headlined by acts including The Prodigy, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Skepta and Kelis, among 100+ artists. Check the official line-up for stage splits and times once published.
Tickets & how foreigners buy
Buy from the official Sónar site only — it's the safest route and avoids resale mark-ups. The 3-day SonarPass starts at €184 (prices rise as tiers sell out, so earlier is cheaper). Single-day tickets are also sold. You'll collect a cashless wristband; bring photo ID that matches your booking.
First-timer tips
- Pace the three days. It's a marathon — the night sessions run very late.
- The fringe is half the fun. Sónar Week fills Barcelona with off-festival parties (often grouped under "OFFSónar" and club nights citywide). Plan a couple around the headliners you most want to see.
- Stay central and use the metro. Fira Gran Via is easy to reach; nights run past public-transport hours, so plan your route back.
